Company Name : | Private Company |
Project Detail : | Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for a 2,400 MW expansion of the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project (Stage-II) during his public rally at Bikramganj in Rohtas district on 30 May, announced Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. The expansion will involve the construction of three ultra-supercritical units of 800 MW each, at a total cost of Rs 29,947 crore. Once completed, the plant's total capacity will rise from the current 1,980 MW (3x660 MW) to 4,380 MW, making it Bihar’s first ultra-supercritical power plant and NTPC’s second-largest power generation facility in the country. Of the new capacity, Bihar is expected to receive 1,500 MW, significantly enhancing the state’s power supply. The expansion marks a key milestone in Bihar’s power infrastructure and contributes to India’s broader goals of improving energy security and adopting cleaner, more efficient power technologies. |
