Project Title : | Coal Ministry Allocates Three Mines, to Attract Rs 4,500-cr Investment |
Company Name : | Ministry Of Coal And Mines |
Project Detail : | The Ministry of Coal has issued allocation orders for three commercial coal mines, expected to generate Rs 2,991 crore in annual revenue and attract Rs 4,500 crore in investment. The move will also create over 40,000 employment opportunities, both directly and indirectly. In an effort to boost India's coal production, the allocations are for three commercial coal mines - Machhakata (Revised), Kudanali Lubri, and Sakhigopal-B Kakurhi to NLC India, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC), and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), respectively. The three mines have a combined peak rated capacity (PRC) of 30 million tpa and hold geological reserves totalling approx. 2,194 million tonne. This is part of a larger push by the Ministry which has issued vesting or allocation orders for 95 mines to date, and its commitment to ensuring a steady supply of coal for industries. |
