| Project Detail : | Honda R&D (India), a unit of Honda Motor Co. has opened a new R&D centre in Bengaluru to speed up the electrification in the country. The Solution R&D Centre, will incorporate advanced mobility technologies into electrified vehicle development in a swifter way, and also work on software and connected services through co-creating open innovation with technologies and ideas of research and development companies. Honda R&D (India), Honda’s research and development arm is dedicated to motorcycle and power product segments. Besides, the R&D centre will partner with companies with new ideas to develop new services and businesses. These go beyond the scope of existing businesses and products in the longer term. Honda has set a global target of achieving carbon neutrality for products and corporate activities by 2050, and in this regard, it will make a wide range of its products carbon neutral in terms of their power sources. In the motorcycle business, Honda has a target of carbon neutrality for all its motorcycle products during the 2040s. Further, the company is working to respond positively to electrification trends, while creating new value beyond the existing framework and provide more attractive products and services, aided by various technological advancements and innovations. |
