| Project Detail : | On 13 July 2023, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for three national highway projects at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. The development of these projects is estimated to cost about Rs 2,900 crore Of these three highways, one project with 87 km stretch of road will extend from Naidupeta to Turpu Kanupur for 35 km on NH-71 at Rs 1,399 crore. The other project, amounting to Rs 909 crore, will cover a 36 km-stretch from Chillakuru Cross to Krishnapatnam Port south gate via Turpu Kanupur on NH-516W The third road stretching up to 16 km will begin from Thamminapatnam to Narikellapalle section encompassing the extension of the dedicated port road from Epuru to Krishnapatnam Port, on NH-516W and NH-67, will be executed with an estimated cost of Rs 610 crore the upcoming project aims to secure connectivity to Krishnapatnam Port to enable faster accessibility to national master plan nodes, industrial nodes and the SEZ at Nellore, as well as enhance the safety and convenience of devotees proceeding to Tirumala and Srikalahasti |
