Project Detail : | SP Singla Constructions has been declared as the lowest bidder for the construction of a six-lane bridge on the River Ganga between Sherpur and Dighwara, parallel to JP Setu in Patna, Bihar. The company's outlay for the 14.5 km long bridge is ?3012.27 crores, which is significantly lower than the government's estimated cost of ?4,994.79 crores. The construction of the bridge is expected to take four years, and once completed, it will significantly reduce the travel time for vehicles between Sherpur in Patna district and Dighwara in Saran district The NHAI is the nodal agency for the project, and the state government is providing the land for the project. On February 21, the state cabinet approved ?316.71 crore for the acquisition of 86.122 hectares of land for the six-lane Dighwara-Sherpur bridge. Currently, the land acquisition process is underway, and landowners are receiving compensation The construction of the bridge is expected to bring about significant benefits to the region, including improved connectivity and reduced travel time, which will boost economic activity in the area |
