Project Detail :The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has given in-principle approval for the four-lane road project from Shimla to Mataur, which is expected to cost around Rs 10,000 crore, and the four-lane road project from Pathankot to Mandi, to cost Rs 12,000 crore

the NHAI will present a concept paper on how to reduce and prevent landslides caused by road expansion in the state and invest Rs 300 crore on the project

The state government has decided to develop Kangra as a tourism capital, and the Pathankot-Mandi and Shimla-Mataur four-lane highways will assist tourism

The detailed project reports (DPR) for the Pathankot-Mandi four-lane road project is expected to be completed soon, except for a 19 km section of road adjacent to Mandi town. In the meantime, the DPR for the Hamirpur bypass is expected to be completed

The process of compensating for the land acquired for the road projects has been hastened, and crucial instructions have been issued to the concerned deputy commissioner. Moreover, cooperation has been requested for the construction of ropeways, particularly the Himani Chamunda and Bijli Mahadev Ropeways
