Company Name : | Government Of Madhya Pradesh |
Project Detail : | The Madhya Pradesh state government has announced plans to construct the 660-km long Vindhya Expressway, which will connect the state capital of Bhopal with Singrauli. The proposed expressway will be the fourth in the state and will traverse six districts, namely Bhopal, Damoh, Katni, Rewa, Siddhi, and Singrauli. Additionally, industrial clusters will be developed along the expressway to generate employment opportunities for the local population The Vindhya region is a plateau surrounding the Vindhyachal ranges in central India, and the new expressway will improve connectivity across numerous districts in the region, such as Sidhi, Satna, Shadole, Umaria, Singrauli, and Anupur. It is worth noting that the Central government is also developing three mega-expressways in Madhya Pradesh, namely the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Chambal Expressway, and Narmada Expressway The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is the longest expressway in the country, spanning 1,386 km, and will significantly reduce travel time between the national capital of Delhi and financial capital of Mumbai to 12 hours from the current 24 hours. About 244 km of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway passes through western Madhya Pradesh, covering a 102.8 km stretch in Mandsaur, 91.1 km in Ratlam, and 50.5 km in Jhabua. With 214 km already completed and another 30 km in advanced stages of completion, Madhya Pradesh is likely to be the first state to complete all packages within its jurisdiction In a statement, the state's CM stated that the Vindhya Expressway and the three mega-expressways being developed by the Central government would significantly improve connectivity and spur economic growth across the state |
