Project Title :Construction Of A 35 MW Grid-Connected Solar Photovoltaic Project In West Bengal.
Company Name : Coal India Limited
Project Detail :In order to choose a contractor for the design, engineering, procurement, and construction of a 35 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic project along with the associated transmission system in West Bengal, the Coal India (CIL) subsidiary, Coal India Navikarniya Urja Limited (CNUL), has issued an invitation for bids

The last day for proposals to be submitted is February 22, 2023, and the opening of bids will take place the following day

The project is expected to cost Rs. 2.05 billion, which will be installed at three sites, one in Satgram (Kalidaspur 10 MW), and two in the Kunustoria (Mahabir 12.5 MW and Amritnagar 12.5 MW) of the Eastern Coalfield (ECL), West Bengal. ECL will use the solar energy produced for internal usage

West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company (WBSEDC) will take over the supply and development of the transmission network

The 12.5-kilometer transmission line is expected to cost Rs. 80 million

An amount of Rs. 5 million as an earnest money deposit is required of all bidders. Additionally, they are required to provide a performance security equal to 3% of the contract value

The chosen bidder is required to guarantee that the plant’s capacity utilization factor and net electrical energy assured generation are, respectively, 23.19% and 71.106 million units, for the first year, with an allowed decline of 0.7% in future years

The project would be operated and maintained for five years by the selected contractor

The power produced by the 10 MW Kalidaspur solar power plant at 33 kV level is intended to be evacuated by ECL through the 33/6.6 kV ECL substation in Kalidaspur. At the Kalidaspur substation, the electricity produced by Jorsha More Colony will be transmitted, where it will be metered

Through a 3-kilometer overhead transmission line, the generated electricity from the Amritnagar project will be sent to Mahabir Colliery. A 3.5-kilometer double circuit 33 kV cable will be used to connect the combined generation at Mahabir Colliery to the present WBSEDC 33 kV overhead line close to Raniganj substation
