Project Detail : | NHAI has planned to build a 44-km-long Kundannoor-Angamaly NH Bypass with an 8-km-long elevated corridor in Kerala. Field surveys are currently in full swing for the access-controlled corridor that would have a 45-metre width. Land of about 219 hectares would be acquired for the alternative corridor that NHAI had envisaged to decongest the Edappally-Aroor NH Bypass and the Edappally-Angamaly NH 66 corridor. The NHAI's Kochi Project Director, J. Balachandran, informed that around 5 acres of land that had been acquired three decades ago for the Thripunithura bypass would be included in the alignment of Kochi-Munnar-Theni greenfield NH that is being developed under the Bharatamala Pariyojana project
