Project Title :Construction Of Three Road Projects In Uttarakhand.
Company Name : Government Of Uttaranchal
Project Detail :Amid the heightened tensions between India and China, the Uttarakhand government has approved the construction of strategically important roads to the China border in the Gangotri National Park. The roads aim at reducing the distance to the border and to facilitate the movement of Indo-Tibetan Border Police personnel and Army soldiers, who at present have to make a detour of 15-25 km in the tough terrains to reach their posts in the remote border areas. The proposal was cleared at a meeting of the State Wildlife Advisory Board, chaired by the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Anand Bardhan, Uttarakhand's principal secretary (forests) informed that the total length of the road will be 35.66 km, with three different stretches that include Sumla-Thangla (11.85 km), Mandi-Sangchokla (17.60 km) and Tripadi-Rangmachgaad (6.21 km) and the project will be built on a fast-track basis
