| Project Detail : | The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is all set to commence road-widening work on the Sinnar-Shirdi highway in Maharashtra at an investment of Rs 1,035 crore.
The land acquisition process has already been completed and the assigned contractor has started work machines to build the 51 km long stretch. The existing 10 mtr wide road will be further widened to 20 mtr road, and a median and 5.5 mtr wide Palkhi route along the highway will also be constructed.
The detailed project report (DPR) of the road was prepared way back in 2015. The project entails land acquisition of 25 villages along the road whereby 19 villages fall in the Nashik district and the remaining in Ahmednagar district. |
