Project Detail:
The proposed project is for the extraction of building stone/ road metal from the allotted Jariput & Jayamangalpur Cluster Black Stone Quarry. Total proposed production of Cluster is 1,800,000Cum. The method of mining will be semi mechanized open cast mining method, and loading can be done by tipper/ trucks.
Cluster-1 (Jariput-Jayamangalpur hillocks) is featured in the Survey of India Toposheet No. 74E/5 and bounded between the latitudes 19°51'18.5" N to 19°51'33.9" N and longitudes 85°18'31.5" E to 85°18'43.6" E. Whereas, Cluster-IA (Jariput) is bounded between the latitudes 19°51'18.5" N to 19°51'29.7" N and longitudes 85°18'33.2" E to 85°18'43.6" E, Cluster-IB (Jayamangalpur) is bounded between latitudes 19°51'29.4" N to 19°51'33.9" N and longitudes 85°18'31.5" E to 85°18'41.0" E. The cluster-1 is located at a distance of 35 Km from District head quarters of Khordha, and is at a distance of 55 Km from the state capital Bhubaneswar.
There is no human settlement within the Lease Cluster. As it is a mining project there is no alternate site has been considered for the project and the area is not coming under forest area.
