Project Detail:

The Bhurkunda Colliery is a brownfield project situated in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand and falls in South Karanpura Coalfields. This colliery belongs to the Barka-Sayal area of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited.

Mining in Bhurkunda Colliery started in the year 1924 under the ownership of State Railways and subsequently transferred to National Coal Development Corporation (NCDC) in 1956. Later in the year 1973, it came under the control of Central Coalfileds limited (CCL).

Total Project Cost: Cr. 146.375
