Project Detail:

This is an expansion of existing (14 Mtpa) Khadia opencast coal mine project of Northern Coalfields Limited. The proposed production capacity is 15.00 Mtpa of coal. The proposal do not involve increase in leasehold area.

To meet the growing demand of coal, owing to the surge in industrial demand post COVID-19, it is now proposed to increase the production capacity of Khadia OCP from 14 Mtpa to 15 Mtpa (50% increase from 10 Mtpa) with no change in leasehold area under clause 7(ii) of EIA Notification 2006.

Total Project Cost:  1288.83 lakh
