Project Detail:
Deendayal Port, Kandla is one of India’s Major Ports. Deendayal Port handled 122.5 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA) of cargo during the year 2019 – 20, the highest among all Major Ports of the country and ranked No. 1 in terms of Cargo Handling for the thirteenth consecutive year among the Major Ports of India.
Deendayal Port, Kandla is Located in Gandhidham Taluk of Kachchh District of Gujarat ~7.5 km east of Gandhidham town. The port is located on the western bank of Kandla Creek. The Kandla Creek joins the Gulf of Kutch ~675 m south of the existing port’s southern boundary. Total custom bonded Port Area insid the custom fencing is ~330 ha. It may however be noted that Deendayal Port operates 3 Single Point Moorings (SPMs) near Vadinar, Jamnagar, ~69 km south-west of the port.
