Project Detail:
The proposed PforR Program (‘P’, the Program) will support a subset of the Government program Urban Vision 2031 in participating ULBs focusing on two pillars: (i) Urban services delivery, primarily water supply and sanitation as part of AMRUT 2.0; and (ii) Urban Governance. The boundaries of the Program are defined as follows.
Services: The Program will cover selected service sectors under the Government program, including: (i) water supply and sanitation; (ii) stormwater drainage; (iii) environment, with a focus on water bodies and green spaces; and (v) urban governance.
Duration: The Program will be implemented over a period of six years (2023-29).
Financing: The total Program budget is proposed as US$450 million, with US$300 million from the Bank and US$150 million as counterpart funding from GoTN / GoI (mainly under the AMRUT program).
