M/s. NU Vista Ltd. (NVL) formerly Emami Cement Ltd. currently operate four manufacturing plants and are in the process of expanding capacity, which subject to receipt of necessary approvals, is expected to result in an aggregate production capacity of 10 Million TPA of Cement and 5.5 Million TPA of Clinker by Fiscal 2022. M/s. NVL have an Integrated Cement Manufacturing Plant situated at Risda in Chhattisgarh, which has present capacity of 3.2 Million TPA of Clinker and 3.0 Million TPA of cement. Other operational Plant is a cement grinding Plant at Panagarh in West Bengal, which has an installed capacity of 2.50 Million TPA of cement, cement grinding unit with an installed capacity of 0.8 Million TPA in Bhabua, Bihar and cement grinding plant at Kalinganagar, Jajpur, Odisha, which has an installed capacity of 2.50 Million TPA of cement.
National Importance - India is the second largest producer of cement in the world. The primacy of Cement Industry would continue as cement remains paramount for the development of infrastructure all over the world and no other material would possibly substitute it soon. Over 65% demand for cement arises from Construction Sector. The recent government thrust on housing and infrastructure development augurs well for the industry, with 100 smart cities, modernization of 500 cities, affordable housing for all by 2022, cement concreting of national highways, provision of sanitation facilities, etc. all in the pipeline for development over the course of the next years. These all will lead to future growth of Indian Cement Industry. The Working Group on Cement Industry expects that the installed capacity requirement would be 1,035.3 Million tonnes by 2027.
