Project Detail:
Revised Administrative Approval and Expenditure Sanction (AA&ES) for the Pollution Abatement Works for River Ganga at Maheshtala (Interception & Diversion (I&D) with STP) in West Bengal State, at an estimated cost of Rs. 286.97 Crs. (Rupees Two Hundred Eighty-Six Crores and Ninety-Seven Lakhs only).
The AA&ES for the scheme was issued at a sanctioned cost of Rs.224.69 Crs. The value put to bid was Rs.214.26 Cr. (excluding Centage, ESMP, communication, GAAP & Electric Connection), and against this amount, price quoted by the L-1 bidder was Rs.273.53 Cr. State authorities requested NMCG for approving the higher cost. The project was awarded after the approval of competent authority of NMCG.
The scope of the project has revised and due to change of the scope project cost has increased. The original AA&ES is being revised due to the increase in the project cost and change of project scope. The (GOI) funding has been increased by 3.01 Crores.
The revised cost for the works is Rs. 276.54 Crs from original awarded cost of Rs. 273.53 Crs. The centage, ESMP, communication, GAAP & power connection charges are as per original sanction. The revised cost of the project is Rs. 286.97 Crs. (Rupees Two Hundred Eighty-Six Crores and Ninety-Seven Lakhs only). The (GOI) funding has been revised to 3286.97Crores from original funding of 283.96 Crores (including Centage, ESMP, communication, GAAP & power connection).
