Project Detail:
A Concrete Gravity Dam of 99.19m height (above foundation level) and 285m length at top has been proposed for Naba HEP. The Dam comprising of central spillway comprising of 7 Nos. of sluice type and 1 No. of surface type spillway have been proposed to pass the design flood of 12500 cumecs. The spillway structure is proposed to flank by three and five numbers
of non-overflow blocks on left and right abutment respectively.
For the construction of Concrete Gravity Dam, Subansiri River would be diverted through two numbers of 11.0 m diameter concrete lined horseshoe shaped diversion tunnel located on the left bank. The lengths of tunnels are 887.4m and 669.18m. For diverting the River water through the diversion tunnels an upstream coffer dam of 24.5 m height has been proposed.
Project Cost: The capitalized completed cost of the project including escalation @ 7% on Civil and E&M works and IDC @ 12.0% p.a works out to Rs 6817.91 Crores.
