Project Detail:

The present proposal is a new mine i.e., Greenfield Mine. The Kannur Limestone block mines are proposed to be worked by a mechanised system of open cast method. The total excavation will be 12.581 million TPA (including 12 MTPA of limestone, 0.523 million TPA of waste and 0.058 of topsoil from mining lease area 550 Ha located at Village- Ingalgi, Basaveshwaranagara, Halkatta, and Kundanoor, Taluka Chittapur, District Kalaburagi in the state of Karnataka. The present proposal falls under item 1(a) of mining under category A project as per EIA Notification dated 14.09.2006 subsequent
amendment thereof.
The capital cost for the proposed mining works out to Rs. 471 crores including environment management, pollution control measures and community development.
