Project Detail:
Project involves construction and development of airside, landside, cargo and terminal infrastructure of airport within site area of 1160 ha by NMIAL in phases. Various project related activities/works outside 1160 ha shall be developed and executed by CIDCO in surrounding area, within 615 ha out of approved 1755 Ha ( as per EC of 2010) including Recourse Channel, Shifting of EHVT lines, development of off-airport area for airport related activities, off-site physical and social infrastructure, resettlement and re-habilitation and utility lines required for airport area.
The total project cost mentioned in EC 2010 was Rs 8,722 Crores and Phase-I cost was indicated as Rs 4424 Crores for 10MPPA in 2015, Phase-II as Rs 1934 Crores for 25 MPPA in 2020, Rs 1728 Crores for 45 MPPA in 2025 for Phase-III and finally Rs 636 Crores in Phase-IV for 60 MPPA. In view of revised schedule of implementation of the project, the updated total project cost of airport development for infrastructure and facilities to be developed within1160 ha of Site area is Rs.36,538 Cr, spread over in four phases i.e. Phase-I: Rs.14,179 Cr. (including cost of PreDevelopment Works of Rs 3,420 Cr), Phase-II Rs. 2,071 Cr., Phase-III Rs.13,465 Cr. and finally Rs.6,822 Cr. This excludes the cost of works to be undertaken by CIDCO and other agencies for proposed works related to airport, but outside airport site of 1160 Ha. This cost is for works to be undertaken by NMIAL. Cost of approx. Rs 3,368 Crores has already been incurred on ongoing project work, which is 24% of Phase-I project cost of Rs 14,179 Crores. CIDCO has additionally incurred cost of Rs 1813 Crores towards R & R. Thus, total of Rs 5181 Crores has been incurred on the project till Dec 2019.
