Project Detail:
The company has proposed Rowghat Lease Mining Lease [2028.797 ha] for allowing dispatch of 0.8 MTPA iron ore through road maximum up to Antagarh and subsequently by rail to Bhilai Steel Plant.
The Mine has received Environmental Clearance for production of 14 MTPA of iron ore which would be despatched by railway wagons to Bhilai Steel Plant. Due to various reasons the rail link was delayed and the mine could not be opened. In June the Env. Clearance was amended to allow opening of the mine with a rated capacity of 0.3 MTPA. The ore would be trucked to Keonti Rly. Siding (~78 km) or onward despatch to Bhilai Steel Plant by railways.
The mine commenced production only on 5th Feb., 2021. The ore is being trucked to Antagarh Rly. Siding (~58 km) for onward despatch by rail.
It is proposed to increase the production to 0.8 MTPA. The ore will be trucked to Antagarh Rly. Siding. When the railway line advances from Antagarh to Bondanar and then Tadoki the ore will be trucked up to Bondanar Siding (~45 km) and Tadoki siding (~40 km) respectively.
