Project Detail:
company has decided to change in configuration, production capacity & product mix of the project- Reduction in Blast Furnace from 1.0 Million TPA (2 x 550 M3) to 0.6 Million TPA (1 x 550 M3), Sinter Plant from 1.0 Million TPA (1 x175 m2) to 0.6 Million TPA(1 x 70 m2), Ferro Alloy Plant from 0.12 Million TPA (10 x 9 MVA) to 0.048 Million TPA (4 x 9 MVA) & CFBC (Coal Dolochar based CPP)135 MW (3 x 45 MW) to 90 MW (2 x 45 MW) ; Expansion of DRI from 0.5 Million TPA (2 x 500 + 2 x 350 TPD) to 0.744 Million TPA (4 x 600 TPD) with DRI based WHRB from 54 MW to 68 MW making total capacity of CPP- 194 MW and change in product mix (production of DI fitting & accessories with DI Pipe) within EC approved capacity of Ductile Iron Pipe (0.2 Million TPA), keeping steel melting shop with CCM and oxygen optimized furnace, rolling mill, coke oven plant, oxygen plant, lime & dolomite plant, iron ore beneficiation with pellet plant & producer gas plant
The estimated capital cost, for the EC awarded plant and equipment to be installed, works out to about Rs. 1700 Crores including Machineries, Building construction, Road construction, Green Belt Development etc. There will be no change in project cost because of proposed proposal.
The installation of 1.2 MTPA integrated steel plant along with utilities and services require co-operation for procurement of equipment, equipment foundations, award of all contracts and supervision of all construction jobs at plant site. The factors which are responsible for timely implementation of the project are:
Arrangement of proper finance for the project.
Finalization of layout of the proposed plant.
Design of utilities and services.
Placement of orders for plant and machinery.
Arrangements for Govt. sanctions and supply of power.
Recruitment of personnel.
The proposed Integrated Steel Plant project is expected to be commissioned within 84 months from the date of obtaining Environment.
