Project Detail:
Padmavathi Khani No.5 Incline is an operating underground coal mine, started in the year 1952. This mine was granted EC by MoEF vide letter No J-11015/27/88/-IA-II(M), dated 23rd October 1992, with a production capacity of 1.20 MTPA. It is proposed to introduce the Continuous Miner Technology with LHDs for exploiting deep seated reserves in the mine with annual production capacity of 0.825 MTPA.
The mine is falling in Padmavathi Khani Geological Block which is carved out of "Kothagudem Coal Belt" of Godavari Valley Coal Field and mine take area of 916.48 ha falls in the Kothagudem Mining Lease.
Project Cost: Padmavathi Khani No.5 Incline is an operating underground coal mine and no increase in production/lease area envisaged in the present proposal. Further, the capacity of the project is reduced from 1.20 MTPA to 0.825 MTPA and the capital cost of the project is Rs.114.70 Crores.
