Project Detail:

Mohanpur OCP, an existing opencast coal mine, is producing coal @ 1.0 MTY by shovel dumper combination. The said mine is currently operating in a limited area of the Mohanpur geological Block and producing around 1.0 MT of coal annually. It is
seen that if the entire strike length of the Block is considered for OC mining, the production level from the OC may be enhanced to a level of 2.50 MTY.

The present proposal involves increase in coal production capacity from 1.0 MTY to 2.50 MTY and area from 164.91 Ha to 415.71 Ha. The project was approved for operation in Partial Outsourcing Mode. The existing Capital expenditure is ? 63.00 Crores (as on 2019-20) and Additional capital investment proposed is ? 888.99 Crores in Partial Outsourcing Mode as per the
approved Project report.
