Project Detail:

The company now proposes to complete the balance works in respect of 2nd unit and operationalize the production of 2nd unit of 6 MTPA capacity pellet plant. Around 83% of construction, installation & implementation of the Pellet Plant - 2 has already been completed by the previous project proponent and balance 17% will be completed after obtaining environment clearance. In pursuance of Government of India policy vide Environmental (Protection) Act 1986, new projects or expansion of existing plant necessitates statutory prior environmental clearance in accordance with the objectives of National Environmental Policy (NEP) as approved by the Union Cabinet on 18th May, 2006 and MoEF&CC, EIA Notification dated 14.09.06, by preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report
The total cost for the projects is estimated as Rs. 1450 Crores. Total Capital Cost for Environmental Pollution Control Measures will be Rs. 15 Crores. Recurring Cost / annum for Environmental Pollution Control Measures will be 0.95 Crores.
