| Project Detail : | Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPNL) has initiated the upgradation and augmentation of six key substations in Gurugram and Manesar to address recurring power outages and meet the region’s surging electricity demand. The substations undergoing enhancements include the 400 kV Daulatabad substation and 66kV units in Sectors- 35, and 47, and Badshahpur in Gurugram, as well as the 66 kV and 220 kV substations in Sector-2 and the Transport Hub in IMT Manesar. At Daulatabad, a third 31.5 MVA transformer has been added to alleviate the load on connected substations via the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN). In Sector-35, a new 16 MVA transformer was commissioned, and one of the existing 31.5 MVA units was shifted to Sector-47 to ease overloading. Badshahpur received a 31.5 MVA upgrade, enhancing its readiness for growing residential and commercial consumption. IMT Manesar’s transport hub substation, commissioned in 2024, added two more transformers (31.5MVA and 20MVA) to redistribute load effectively. Officials estimate the projects will take up to three years to complete. |
