| Project Detail : | As many as 10 industrial parks will be set up in Srikakulam district to improve economic activity and create employment for youngsters locally. The government felt that the establishment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in all Assembly constituencies would check migration of people and ensure development in areas near the proposed parks Srikakulam Industries Department General Manager B. Gopala Krishna told that the identification of land begun in all the constituencies. According to him, the government identified 100 acres of in VR Gudem of Ponduru mandal of Amadalavalasa Assembly constituency. Around 56 acres will be allocated for the park in Bhiripuram village of Itchapuram mandal. Thotada village was finalised for the park in Narasannapeta Assembly constituency The government finalised 54 acres of land in Thotada village after taking the consent of public representatives. Etcherla which has already witnessed industrial growth in the last 10 years will also have an exclusive MSME park in Sancham village of Ranasthalam mandal which comes under Etcherla constituency The revenue officials have earmarked 70 acres of land at Meliyaputti in Patapatnam Assembly constituency. A total of 14.83 acres will be allocated in Turajapuvalasa of Seethampet mandal of Palakonda constituency. The land is yet to be finalised in places like Palasa, Tekkali, Rajam and Srikakulam Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) will develop those parks after government completes alienation process. After their development, different sizes of sites will be allocated for various industries,” Mr. Gopala Krishna said He said that awareness programmes were being conducted in all Assembly constituencies to encourage youngsters to establish their units in the proposed parks The government has been giving many subsidies, including waiver of electricity bills, registration charges and other benefits. The young graduate will become industrialists if they to use the government schemes. Through single window process, all clearances are given to applicants within no time,” he said. “We have received 1,453 applications in the current financial year 2017-18. As many as 1,399 were accepted as part of ease of doing business policy,” he added |
