| Project Detail : | JSW Cement, a subsidiary of JSW Group, has launched a Rs 800 crore cement plant in Salboni, West Bengal The chief minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee inaugurated this manufacturing unit on 15 January 2018 The manufacturing facility will have a capacity of 2.4 million tpa and will manufacture portland slag cement (PSC) and GGBS. The cement plant will mark JSW Cement’s entry into the eastern markets of India The cement plant will create job opportunities for the villages surrounding Salboni over the next two to three years The company is also planning to increase the production capacity of its plant from 2.4 million tpa to 3.6 million tpa, besides setting up a captive power plant in West Bengal. The company will make an investment of Rs 300 crore in this project |
