The station for the ropeway would be about 80 to 90 metres from the fort, which has been declared as a conservation area Land for the project has been acquired on lease from Reis Magos comunidade, and the cost of building the 1.4km ropeway is estimated to be around Rs 100 crore. The project will be executed on design-build-finance-and-transfer basis.The 13-member conservation committee meeting after nearly a year with nearly 25-30 issues pending for approval.
